E8-5: Profound AI writer vs Som's C13 buyer page · 28 October 2026
From: Som. For: Hoa (tool test sheet), Vin.
Profound draft: E8-5-profound-c13-draft-2026-10-28.txt (brief and approved facts pasted by Som, same facts our draft used).
Our draft: C13 section 5, revised 28 Oct after the three-model review: https://hypertune-buyer-page-draft.pages.dev/
Verdict
Profound produced a usable first draft in minutes. All its prices, plan facts and feature names are correct. It is longer than ours and its "worth it" section is better. But it needs a fix pass before anyone else sees it: four lines break our rules or would raise doubt, it repeats "60%" six times, and it misses the facts a buyer page needs (cancel cutoff, Terms link, last updated date, why other sites show older prices). Our draft stays the base. Two ideas from Profound are worth taking (see "Take into C13").
| Profound | Our C13 | |
|---|---|---|
| Words (page copy) | 1,309 | 882 |
| Time to first draft | Minutes, plus about 15 minutes to brief | About 3 hours, plus a three-model review |
| Fact errors | 0 | 0 |
| Lines that break a rule or raise doubt | 4 | 0 |
| "Up to 60%" mentions | 6 | 1 |
| Last updated date, author, links out | None | Date, Terms and technology links |
Lines to fix in Profound's draft
| # | Profound line | Problem | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | H2 "Is there a Hypertune free trial?" and "Hypertune does not advertise a free trial, so you pay when you subscribe." | Gives the trial its own section, which the brief told it not to do. The claim is also unsafe: V8 says a 7-day trial exists, the live Terms open "By initiating a trial", and the live /pricing footer has a "Try for free" button | V8: trial not featured; review A6, A7 |
| 2 | "If you play a game with strict rules about modified files, check that game's own policy before you use a Game Hub profile for it." | New caution, not in the approved facts. It hints at an anti-cheat risk the approved line does not state | V8 anti-cheat line only |
| 3 | Not for you if you "play games with strict rules about modified files and do not want to check them before using Game Hub profiles" | Same as 2, repeated in the fit list | V8 anti-cheat line only |
| 4 | "At $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, it costs far less than a CPU or graphics card upgrade, though it cannot replace one." | A comparison claim that is not in the approved facts | Nine answer rules: approved facts only |
| 5 | "Up to 60%" six times, plus "That figure is a ceiling, not a promise" and "Do not assume you will reach it" | Repeats the claim and then argues with it. The results-vary paragraph was cut from ours in review | Review A3, A4 |
| 6 | Title "Hypertune: Is It Free, How Much Does It Cost, and Does It Work?" | 63 characters, over the 60 limit; no H1 or meta given | V8 titles |
| 7 | Plan table | Duplicates Kamil's live price cards on /pricing | Review F8 |
Missing from Profound's draft (ours has it)
- Last updated date and a dated price line ("from 16 October 2026" in the cost answer, not only the yearly line).
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, the account dashboard URL, and Terms of Service section 29.
- "Why do some sites list a different Hypertune price?" Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp still show an older yearly price, so buyers need this answer.
- What each feature changes (ours has a table; Profound lists the names only).
- Expert Tuning as a separate paid service.
- A test that leaves Game Hub off first, so hardware gains and settings gains are measured apart (matches the E4-8 method sheet). Profound's test mixes them and records average FPS only, not the lows.
- Server lag is not something Hypertune fixes, and free tools are named for people who want to tune by hand.
- Links out: technology page, Terms, Expert Tuning.
Where Profound is better
- "Is Hypertune worth it?" It gives three plain reasons to weigh (the downside is limited by the guarantee and restore point; the upside depends on the PC; a PC that already runs well has less room to improve). Ours is one sentence.
- Plan choice. "If you only want to see how Hypertune performs, the monthly plan keeps your first payment small." Useful, and uses approved facts only.
- Short summary at the end. One paragraph an AI answer could quote whole. Ours relies on the intro.
- States the partner line ("an Intel and AMD partner, and it supports NVIDIA"). Ours leaves it out while Austin decides (A10). E6-1 found no public page says "AMD partner", so this is the line we want on the page once Austin agrees.
Take into C13 (for Vin to approve)
- Expand "Is Hypertune worth it?" with the headroom point: "A PC that already runs your games well has less room to improve." Keep it to approved facts.
- Add the monthly-plan line to the cost answer.
- Add the partner line once Austin confirms (E3-16 call, 29 Oct).
Do not take: the trial section, the "strict rules" lines, the hardware price comparison, or the extra "60%" lines.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 28 Oct 2026 | Profound (7-day trial, marketing@ern.net) | Som | AI writer draft of the buyer page (C13) vs Som's draft | About 3 h to first draft, plus review (Som's estimate) | Minutes to draft, about 15 min to brief, about 30 min to fix (estimate) | 1,309 words, 0 fact errors, 4 lines break rules or raise doubt (trial section, two "strict rules" Game Hub cautions, hardware price comparison), 6 "60%" mentions; misses cancel cutoff, Terms link, older-price answer, dated last updated. Better "worth it" section and end summary | Recommend no (Vin decides): useful for a first draft, but every draft still needs our rules pass. Trial ends by itself |
